outdoor performances by our rather jolly red scarves and hats! It may be cold outside but the atmosphere is
always warm and cosy!
When
we turned up at Epsom Playhouse last Thursday night to accompany Blake
in their sell out concert, we had very little idea as to what was
expected of us, except that we would provide backing melodies for five
of their performance tunes. At around 90 minutes before the concert we
at last met the boys themselves and we were not disappointed! They were
very friendly, incredibly complimentary about how we sounded and made
us feel an important part of the evening. (click "Read more.." to listen to an interview)
Excitement is at fever pitch for members of Elmbridge Community Music
Society as they prepare for two of the society's biggest and most

Taking
place on Saturday 29th October at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking, ‘Sing It! Swing
It!' promises a veritable feast of fabulous songs from the society's two
magnificent choirs - Elmbridge Choir and Elmbridge Ladies Choir -and
its two sensational bands - Elmbridge Big Band and Elmbridge Young
Musicians, along with one or two specially invited guest artists. (click here to view our colourful brochure)
As
well as raising funds for its Music Grants Scheme, the society is
delighted to be supporting the Mayor of Elmbridge's charity, the Sam
Beare Hospice in Weybridge. A much-valued supporter of the society,
Mayor John Sheldon is very happy that this concert will help to raise
funds for his charity. ‘I am absolutely delighted to see how Elmbridge
Music has grown and how far they have come. I am very excited about this
concert at the New Victoria Theatre, particularly as they have chosen
to support my charity. ‘
