I think that everyone I know has a radio, and most people have a computer but how many people have been able to turn that knob or click onto a website and listen to someone they know talking about something they love? Well this week we are getting three chances to do just that...
Yesterday Cliff was an on line guest of Radio Wey and for 45 minutes
was able to chat about what Elmbridge Music does, how it started and of
course why we all love it so much. Two pieces sung by the mixed choir
were played which would have left listeners in no doubt about what good
entertainment they could expect if they attend the Putney Concert on
Saturday. Da Do Ron Ron from the Ladies Choir came at the end of the
interview but unfortunately, as it was on just before the 7 o'clock
news, they had to fade it out. But never mind, I think it would have
left listeners in no doubt that we are very enthusiastic!
Our next chance to hear Cliff will be tomorrow morning on Brooklands
FM, when hopefully he will again be able to tell listeners on line what a
great organisation we are and how good our concerts are!
Finally on Saturday morning it will be the Ladies Choir who will be
making the trip down the A3 to BBC Surrey to sing at 8.20 in the morning
on the Joe Talbot Show. This will also include an interview with
Ramon. If you want to tune in to Radio Surrey it is on 104.6 FM on the
radio, alternatively if you have got into the habit of listening on line
or someone who is not in the reception area of BBC Surrey wants to tune
in, you can go on line on
So let's hope that these appearances will encourage more people to
follow Elmbridge Music. It's been radio this week but how long before
we hit the TV screens!!!!
Good luck to everyone taking part in the concerts this weekend.
In case you missed the songs on the radio or can't listen, here they are again:
