Cobham, November 2011 Bearing gifts of music, merriment and mirth to the local community, Elmbridge Music is warming up for some special performances for the festive season.
In what has become a welcome tradition, Elmbridge Choir will be singing to the crowds during the ‘Cobham at Christmas' celebrations on the evening of 25th November. The choir will be found at their usual spot outside Carphone Warehouse in Cobham between 5pm and 7pm.
The fabulous 30-piece Elmbridge Big Band will be playing a feast of festive jazz and seasonal swing tunes and getting in the mood for Christmas! ‘Jingle Bell Swing' will be performed at St Christopher's Church, Claygate Lane, Hinchley Wood on Saturday 3rd December at 7.30pm. Tickets costing £10 adults (under 16s free) can be booked by calling St Christopher's Parish Office on 020 8398 9095.
Anyone in need of a little Christmas magic should make their way to The Medicine Garden in Cobham on Saturday 17th December where Elmbridge Choir will be entertaining the Christmas Market shoppers between 4pm and 5pm.
And later on the same day the marvellous Elmbridge Young Musicians will be presenting a community Christmas carol concert complete with audience sing-along and mulled wine to follow. This free concert will be held at St Christopher's Church in Hinchley Wood between 6pm and 7pm and a retiring collection will be made in aid of Elmbridge Music's Grants Scheme.
